Fostering embodied research, cultural dialogue, and technical precision through Cuban contemporary dance, Afro-Caribbean movement, and collaborative studio practice.

Educational formats and programmes

Tailored movement training, academic seminars, and choreographic residencies designed for conservatoires, universities, professional companies, and community spaces.

Technique masterclasses

Intensive sessions in Cuban contemporary technique, ballet fundamentals, and Afro-Caribbean movement traditions focusing on rhythm, musicality, and grounded weight.

Choreographic intensives

Multi-day creative labs, improvisation frameworks, and rehearsal direction guiding dancers to explore collective agency and compositional tools.

Lectures and talks

Guest lectures, artist discussions, and seminars exploring embodied knowledge, diaspora, intercultural exchange, and decolonial pedagogy in dance.

An intercultural, embodied approach

The studio is a shared space of critical inquiry, listening, and expressive freedom. Sessions are open to professional dancers, conservatoire students, emerging artists, and community groups alike, adapting to suit all levels of experience.

Grounding physical practice in cultural context

Integrating Afro-Caribbean and Cuban movement vocabularies with contemporary dance pedagogy allows participants to understand movement as a medium for thinking, communicating, and storytelling. Dancers are encouraged to develop individual agency while engaging deeply with collective rhythm, repetition, and weight.

Residencies and institutional collaborations

Whether designing a single guest workshop, leading a semester-long module, or directing a new choreographic commission, each engagement is built in close dialogue with the host organisation to support participant growth.
